What we collect

Russian RoulEgg is a fan-run community tournament for players of Torn City.

When you register for a tournament, we collect and store your Torn in-game name and Torn in-game ID. These details are already publicly accessible within Torn City.

Once your entry has been approved, your in-game name and ID may be displayed publicly on the Russian RoulEgg tournament roster and bracket. This is necessary for administering the tournament and allowing players to identify their opponents.

Torn API connection

Russian RoulEgg requires a Torn API key from participating players in order to verify their identity and administer tournament functions, including verifying Russian Roulette match results.

The API key is treated as confidential. It is encrypted before being stored and is not displayed publicly, sold, or shared with other players.

Russian RoulEgg only uses the Torn API access needed for the tournament functions described to you when you provide your key. We aim to request and use only the information necessary to operate the tournament.

We recommend creating a dedicated Torn API key for Russian RoulEgg and using the minimum permissions necessary for the tournament functions.

Russian RoulEgg is an independent third-party community service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Torn City or its developers.

How your information is used

Your information and authorised Torn API connection are used only to:

• register you for the Russian RoulEgg tournament;
• identify you within the tournament roster and bracket;
• verify tournament participation and match results;
• maintain tournament statistics and match history;
• administer the tournament and resolve tournament disputes or result issues.

We do not sell your information or use your Torn API connection for advertising, marketing, or unrelated purposes.

Where information is stored

Tournament information is stored using Firebase, a Google Cloud service.

Torn API keys are encrypted before they are stored. Access to stored API credentials is restricted to the server-side functions required to operate Russian RoulEgg.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect tournament information and authorised API credentials against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

How long information is kept

Your tournament name, Torn ID, results, statistics, and tournament history may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the tournament record and any relevant tournament archive.

Your Torn API connection is intended to be retained only for as long as it is reasonably required for the tournament functions for which you provided it. When the connection is no longer required, it should be removed.

Removing your information

You may contact the event administrator if you want your tournament entry or stored information reviewed or removed.

Some information may need to be retained where it is necessary to maintain an accurate tournament record, resolve a dispute, or meet a legitimate administrative requirement.

If you no longer want Russian RoulEgg to have access to your Torn account through your API key, you can revoke or delete the API key through Torn's own account settings. You may also contact the event administrator to request removal of the stored connection.

Your privacy

Russian RoulEgg aims to collect only the information needed to run the tournament. We do not intentionally collect your email address, postal address, telephone number, real-world name, or other unnecessary personal contact information as part of tournament registration.

If you have a question about information held by Russian RoulEgg or how it is used, please contact the event administrator.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Russian RoulEgg's features, tournament processes, or API requirements change.

Where an update materially changes how your information or Torn API connection is used, the updated information will be made available to participants.
